The Art of Serving I

Serving, what is it exactly?
In my opinion, serving is when you go down, put aside your own interest, and put others’ interest first. Here are some benchmarks to know whether you’re really served or you’re just contributing:

1. When you really serve, you don’t care about who’s getting the credit
2. When you really serve, you don’t give the mediocre value, you bring the best of you. You bring excellence into it.
3. When you really serve, you are not complaining and boasting about what you gave/sacrificed.
4. When you really serve, you stop counting the things that you gave.
5. When you really serve, you’re still doing it well and excellent while nobody even looks at it.
6. When you really serve(at church), you only look to the One you serve, not the credit, the glory, the honor, and what people think about your service.
   

Our job and workplace is also the place to serve, not just to work. The way to become a great leader is become a great servant. The way up is down. Remember, we can only become a great leader, if we successfully had become a great follower. Happy serving !

Self Control

Self control is not easy.. but it is indeed way easier than facing the consequences of not controlling yourself. I.e : It is easier to hold your lust, than to get divorce and have to separate with your chilren. It is easier to study..than to get kicked out from school from cheating. Self control is not easy. Sometimes it is indeed makes you suffering. But in the end, the result of self control is always a victory. You win against your true enemy...yourself :) Self control is one of the fruit of the Spirit. You can't do it by your own strength. Those who can control themselves is indeed... the true champion of life.
